the preggy report

September 2086. Blossom McCarthy is 27, George is 32.

"Blossom McCarthy? I can take you back now."

This is Blossom's second prenatal checkup, so she quickly becomes more excited than nervous this time.

At fifteen weeks, Blossom has nothing to complain about. Her belly is still rather small and her morning sickness has mostly passed. The nurse tells them that their baby is four inches long and weighs three ounces, and Blossom might even begin to feel a flutter of movement soon.

"Do you want to know the gender?"

"Yes," they both agree.

Blossom and George can expect a healthy baby boy in the spring. The baby is growing perfectly for his due date of March 16th. Time to decide on some boy names!

Piper Phoenix is 32, Hayden is 37.

Piper Phoenix is 21 weeks along and expecting a baby girl, due in February.

notes: This is one of those future timeline pregnancies for Piper, so Piper-the-sim is not actually pregnant in my game exactly right now. This would be her second pregnancy, with Hope, and I didn't want to go through the bother of making her fake pregnant just to take pictures.

But it seems this is the only pregnancy pic I ever took for poor Piper... even if it does happen to be the best pregnancy pic ever.

This was the first and only time I've ever seen a sim autonomously announce her pregnancy to her husband as she's still sitting on the toilet taking the pregnancy test. Both nekkid because they literally conceived the child about five seconds ago. Sims, lol!

Bonus points for exceptional hand placement! Gold star for Piper!

Aliyah Sylvester is 25.

Aliyah loves her life. She has an exciting job as assistant manager at The Capitol Bistro, she has a cute apartment in Potomac Heights with a party room, pool, and gym, and she has a blisteringly hot new boyfriend. What can possibly go wrong?

One Thursday night shift, she almost throws up in the kitchen. She thinks it must be the new cook, burning the cheese on the volcano pasta—burnt cheese is a smell vile enough to make anyone want to vomit.

"Are you sick?" Mackenzie, their nosy head waitress, asks. "You really shouldn't come to work sick in the restaurant industry."

Aliyah doesn't feel sick, but she has to solve this mystery because the customers can't find it very appetizing to see the floor manager dry heave over their dinner.

She buys a test from the 24-hour pharmacy on the way home from work. She kicks off her shoes and runs to the bathroom, bursting with pee because she held it all night knowing what she needed to do.

"Oh, shit."

How? Well, they had a lot of sex. A lot of it. And often. There was probably a time, or two, or three, on the desk, when the condom kind of slipped a little. But she'd been told by a doctor that she would have fertility issues, so she certainly never expected it to happen so easily by accident.

Oops.

Then Aliyah is overwhelmed with questions. Does Angelo even like children? Does he even like her enough to raise a baby with her? Will she become a single mother? Will he pay child support? She realizes that she hardly knows anything about him at all, except for every hair and muscle and sinew and tattoo etching on his body—oh, yes, she knows Angelo in that way—but what does he want to do with his life and how does he want to spend it?

Aliyah wonders if she's even considered her own life that deeply before. What does she want out of life and how does she want to spend it?

She is still bottomless on the toilet, dripping with pee, and the test still reads "positive."

Angelo keeps mentioning that he wants her to meet his mom—maybe that's a good sign. Aliyah hasn't been avoiding it, exactly, but her dinners and weekends schedule conflicts with everyone else's nine to five most of the time. She wonders what else will conflict. And what will she say to the woman now?

"Nice to meet you, Mrs. Shaw. Do you like grandchildren?"

notes: Aliyah hasn’t met Angelo’s mom yet, so of course she doesn't know she was standing right in front of her, the blonde lady in the gray dress, while she was dry heaving at the restaurant, lol!

  1. I feel bad for Aliyah but at the same time...she and Angelo are going to have such hot babies. (I mean, once they're grown up. I will have to still be reading this blog in 30-40 RL years. ;) )

    1. Ha ha, because it'll take me that long to play ~18 sim-years until this kid is grown? I would like to hope that I can play faster than that, but my record proves otherwise, unfortunately, considering all things like real life inturruptions, technical problems, and game changeovers. But maybe I can get it done in 20 RL years. Maybe my story will end up being like one of those daytime soaps that goes on for like 50 years. I think that would make me wildly satisfied, lol! :D

  2. When you mentioned that oops pregnancy on Tumblr, I just knew it had to be Aliyah and Angelo. It's a bit shocking, but at the same time, I'm really interested to see how their situation will turn out.

And oh my gosh, Piper. Wow. That's... a picture.

    1. Their recent stories were probably the giveaway. They've been at it like rabbits! Although, my risky percentage is only 3-5%, so they were also quite lucky/unlucky, depending on how you look at it, lol!

  3. Blossom and George are adorable! And oh my gosh, Piper! LOL! I don't think I've ever seen the pregnancy test or pregnancy announcement interactions from TS4...definitely haven't seen them happen simultaneously while naked on a toilet!

And oooh, Angelo is going to be a daddy! That should be interesting!
