The North American Continental Speed Rail was developed throughout the 21st century, but it really flourished between 2082-2088 when air travel became prohibited due to the alien invasion conflict of the Reclamation War. When the ban on air travel was finally lifted in 2088, many travelers still preferred the high-speed rail system for its safety and efficiency.
