a short break

I am off to scorch my pasty epidermis with UV radiation. Sound fun?

I had hoped to get another story up before I went, but, ha ha, that didn't happen. But at least that means I should have one or two things very close to ready when I get back next week.

If you've read everything here and need something more to read, *shameless plug incoming* The Fish and the Bird is now available in all ebook formats AND paperback. It is one of my favorite things I've ever written and has all of my top requirements for a great story: a love triangle, dead relatives, sassy best friends, maybe the most heart-stopping first kiss scene that I've ever written, rage, angst, regret, redemption, and all bundled up with a happy ending. So I hope you'll check it out. If you like anything I write here on this blog, I know that you'll love it.

Enjoy the spring! Don't forget to wear your sunscreen!

Happy New Year!

I don't know how many of you are on Tumblr, so I wanted to share this little link here. That will take you to a collection of favorite moments from my story and simming endeavors in 2016, and is queued to post throughout the day. That was fun to put together and reflect on all that I accomplished in my game and story this year.

Here's to a happy 2017, whatever it brings! Can't be any worse than 2016, right? ;)

Just kidding. On a personal level, my 2016 was not that bad at all. (RL favorite moments are here.)

I hope you all have a festive, safe, and happy New Year, whenever it happens in your part of the globe. <3

the Liebster award

Accepting the nomination comes with these conditions:
1. Post the award on your blog.
2. Thank the blogger who presented the award and link back to their blog.
3. Nominate 5-11 bloggers whom you feel deserve this award and have fewer than or equal to 3,000 followers.
4. Answer 11 questions posted by the nominator, and ask your nominees 11 questions.

Thank you, Maisie for the nomination. This came along at just the right time, since 1.) I actually have time to do it, and 2.) I have felt so out of touch with the sim-blogging community lately, I am eager to find some new, active blogs to read!

And I only just saw that Carla tagged me, too. Thank you, Carla! I will answer both sets of questions here.
