This week, I am revisiting some old old stories (some that are eight years old, OMG!) on Tumblr from the Lind/Harris family, because this family will be featured heavily in the coming chapters. For those who don't frequent Tumblr, I'll just link directly to the relevant updates in case you want to refresh your memory.
I never blogged about these sims while I was playing TS3, so nothing was changed or missed between their TS2 lives and where they will pick up in TS4. It's like they just took a long eight-year nap but only progressed about two years in time, lol! So these posts will be a little refresher for me, for everyone, and a summary for those who may not have read TS2 Lakeside Heights.
September 2083: Meadow announced her retirement and handed off the job of School Board President to Alice Nova. Brady also retired that same year from his job heading up the Treasury Department. They moved out of the administrative estate into a small rented apartment, which was plenty because they spent most of their time visiting their children and grandchildren.
October 2081: Nathan and Ally Lind celebrated their five-year wedding anniversary. As their oldest, Bianca, started school, Ally found that she and her daughter were nothing alike. Ally also found out the whole story about what happened to Nathan's mysterious high school girlfriend.
In December of 2082, Aurora convinced Joel to knock her up with just one more baby, and they conceived right away. Much to their surprise because they tried for years to conceive Zach.
In May of 2083, Joel took Tyler and Jeremiah on one of the coolest helicopter rides of their lives—their lives to that point, of course, because then they all went out into space and got to ride in all kinds of cool ships.
In September of 2083, the family welcomed little Rebecca, who they named after Joel's grandmother.
In February of 2081, Blake and Clarice stumbled up the career ladder and decided to add another baby to their bunch, marveling at a particular time in the neighborhood when nearly everyone was either getting divorced or having another baby. Lucky for them, they ended up in the "having a baby" half of the families. Emily came along in November of 2081.
Thanks for the review. I read the Tumblr posts too, but Tumblr always seems like such a pain to scroll through and read. On top of the format being "backwards" mine has an annoying lag even though my computer and my browser are up to date. Maybe it's a plug in or maybe it is that I follow too many feeds.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! I don't know how so many simmers prefer to read on Tumblr, I would always rather have a nice tidy blog to read. *shrug*
DeleteNice timeline! I am not on Tumblr enough to follow stories along, so I appreciate this post especially! Looking forward to seeing everyone in the upcoming updates!
ReplyDeleteNice little summary! I remember the Linds moderately well, though they were always more background characters than leads!
ReplyDeleteEmily is a super-cute toddler...though I guess she'd be school age now!
I'm glad this was useful to everyone!
ReplyDeleteEmily is four now, nearly five, so she'll start kindergarten with next year's class. She's a child in game already though. It didn't make sense to start her out as a toddler if she'd only be one for a couple months. She would have grown up beautiful in TS2, so hopefully her TS4 self turns out okay, lol!
